Guardamar del Segura is a municipality on the Costa Blanca located 35 kilometers south of Alicante, in whose municipal area the Segura river empties. Its City Council has a census of approximately 17,000 people.

It has a total of 11 km of fine sandy beaches that make it one of the most beautiful coasts in Spain. Guardamar is especially known for its sand dunes that are in an area of special protection and conservation.

The pine forest located next to its Urban Center has 800 hectares of extension and originally it was a set of mobile sand dunes, which were fixed through the planting of various plant species such as pines, palms or cypresses.

For its extension it is a Municipality fully dedicated to tourism that has numerous hotels and campsites that welcome thousands of visitors. The Population multiplies by five in the summer season making it a perfect vacation spot.
