Raspay is a village in the municipality of Yecla, eastern Spain.^[2] Its population consisted of 100 inhabitants in the year 2017.^[1]

Geography

Raspay is 23 kilometres (14 mi) from the capital of its municipality (the town of Yecla). The village is located in the foothill Sierra de las Pansas of the mountain range Sierra del Carche.^[3]

History

The first document referencing the village is from 1855. In that year, Antonio Ibáñez, was given control of the rectory in Raspay and became the first priest of this territory.^[4]

About Pinoso 

The municipality of Pinoso covers an area of 126.9 km². The relief is constituted by large glacis that descend from the neighboring mountain ranges and ample troughs, sometimes without enough drainage, which gives rise to the typical deep ones , in which in an occasional way it can get to puddle the water. ⁴

To the north, the last western foothills of the Salinas mountain range barely penetrate, reaching an altitude of 1239 meters above sea level at the peak of the Chapel (bordering Villena ). On the west side, although it was already the terminus, the Sierra del Carche rises (1371 m), and on the south, forming a boundary with Algueña , the Reclot mountain range (1053 m), very rich in marble deposits . The most outstanding thing is the great Triassic diapir that rises in the southeast quadrant of the term: a huge mountain of plaster and salt, in a rounded shape that for centuries has been subject to salt exploitation, the Cabezo de la Sal (893 m). ⁴
