This private, 5 star gated golf and family leisure resort was built around 13 years ago and now consists of around 2500 privately owned apartments and villas.  The Mar Menor Golf Resort is characterised by it's colourful Floridian style houses, beautiful open green spaces, quiet well-maintained streets and plazas with fountains. 

In addition to it's superb 18 hole Nicklaus designed golf course and practice area, the Mar Menor Golf Resort features many other sports and leisure facilities.  There are numerous children's play parks, an open-air gym circuit and running track, picnic areas, 15 communal swimming pools, padel tennis courts, a tennis court, 2 boules pits and a jungle themed mini-golf course.

A short 5 minute walk from the centre takes you to the Boulevard Commercial area which is located just outside the resort entrance. Here you will find a number of bars and restaurants offering good value food and drink as well as live entertainment all year round. These include The Shamrock Irish sports bar and restaurant, Chinese restaurant, Route 66 American Diner, Vines restaurant & bar, Paddy's Irish bar, Tasty Bites Indian restaurant, La Perla Negra "The Black Pearl" late bar and a casino. 

There is also a bank with 24hr cash machine, a hardware store, a hire centre that rents bikes, scooters and other holiday items such as baby seats and golf clubs. 

During the summer months the resort offers family entertainment activities including a kids club, mini discos each night and various live music events. There are also all year round activities available for residents and guests which include Zumba & Yoga classes, Spanish courses, painting and pottery classes and various social events such as Padel Tennis each Monday evening and coffee mornings each Wednesday. Activities are always being added and are updated regularly to suit the time of year.

The Mar Menor Golf Resort is situated just 5km from the beaches, shops, bars and restaurants at the popular family beach resort of Los Alcazares and is close to all local services and amenities in the nearest major town of Torre Pacheco.
